Silver Shadow owns the physical COM/CI-V connection. Frequency, mode, filters, meters, PTT, tuner and other mapped commands run through model-aware control paths instead of allowing multiple applications to fight over the COM port.
Verification status
Physically verified: IC-7300, IC-7300MK2, IC-7600 core and IC-7610 core/MAIN scope. Extra built-in profiles remain Early Access where their exact feature set has not been confirmed on real hardware.
External Apps Hub
v0.29.80 adds a local Hamlib NET rigctl-compatible server. External programs talk to Silver Shadow; Silver Shadow remains the radio owner. External TX/PTT is blocked by default until the operator explicitly enables it.
