Silver Shadow QSO Recorder & Audio Scope
Record received station audio directly inside Silver Shadow, monitor the live input level, automatically correct quiet recordings and open a real PCM Audio Scope from the main screen.

REC is integrated into the main screen. Recordings are written as WAV files with useful station metadata and a clear end-of-recording report showing duration, peak level, applied gain and clipping count.
Auto Level
If a completed recording is too quiet, v0.29.80 can automatically raise its level with headroom and clipping protection. Loud recordings are left alone. The feature was physically tested on the IC-7300 USB Audio CODEC workflow.
AUDIO bar → Audio Scope
The main screen keeps a clean live AUDIO activity bar next to REC. Click it to open the larger analyzer with a real 0–4 kHz FFT spectrum and waveform derived from the incoming RX PCM audio stream.
TX microphone note
The IC-7300 can display its own internal TX audio scope, but it does not expose that raw front-microphone PCM stream to Silver Shadow through the normal USB RX audio path. Silver Shadow therefore does not invent a fake TX waveform.

REC blijft compact op het hoofdscherm. De AUDIO-balk laat echte RX-audioactiviteit zien en opent bij klikken de grote Audio Scope. Auto Level corrigeert te zachte afgeronde WAV-opnames automatisch zonder onnodige clipping.
